*8 weeks till my Wedding.
You all will be sick of hearing about it I know.
Anyway I though I would update everybody who does give a shit.
Every thing is in motion like 80 million moving parts. Its really getting kinda hectic trying to plan everything myself. I was invited to have the wedding at my cusins house on a beautiful river with lots of parking..lol
My invitations are almost ready... to be sent out by the 2nd week in july. (wish I could send a few to some members hehe I still might lol just for fun )
My ceremony is pretty much set up
*one cool note is I am collecting flowers from (my side) guests as I walk down isel then I'll give 1 flower to my new mother in law and I am having my youngest son tie a ribbon around the rest of the bunch just before we begin. A unity thing.
I alredy know I will get very choked up trying to recite my personal vows

Besides sparking a fattie right in front of the whole family
I need another way to show our excitment and commemorate and celebrate
this moment. umm idk something cool and differant

ok so after the ceremony we are leaving on a pontoon boat decorated with just married ballons and what not. This is our little escape to smoke break.
Then I put all my trust into my friends to get the place ready for the reception. I know it will be fine when I return to be recieved as husband and wife WOot WOot. so yeah I have alot of work ahead of me so if Im not aroun as much this is what Im doing

My next challange is my menu and music which shouldnt be that much of a problem. Any music suggestions would be helpful also. I draw a blank when it comes to the songs I want played and I just know I want our first dance to be too Metallica's Nothing Else matters... I think. hehe
I also am feeding like 70 people some vegitarian .I am thinking

Watermelon Steaks with Mango Salsa
probally a citris chicken salad w/ pita bread and a few differant salads
What else is cheap and easy to make and goes far looks perttyand well tastes good.
I wish I could afford to have it catered but I cant so Ill just do the best I can. Thanks guys in advance I already know how supportive this fourm is and Ill keep you all updated.

I definitely think that you guys should make special cupcakes, but only have two of them be special and eat those for the "first bite of the cake" tradition thing. That would be tight.

DW and I got married to the song "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica. We had it on loop and it played throughout the entire ceremony! Excellent song! Another good one is "I feel so alive" by POD, that is a great song too

Something else good, is get a bunch of those disposable cameras and hand them out to people or place them on tables and chairs, and then collect them all at the end. Then you have tons of pictures from different angles of the whole ordeal. I did that, but unfortunately, everyone took all the pics at the ceremony and there was none left of the reception! lol

Anyway, a girlfriend of mine developed them all for me and scrapbooked them. As a wedding gift. But that is one idea.

Maybe for a dessert bar, have everyone bring a dessert? I think if you are providing all the reg food, then it isn't too much to ask some to bring a dessert, just a thought.

Anyway, I am so excited and I wish I could be there But, I know you will have a blast!!

The special cup cakes is a very good idea Jake, Thanks I never thought of that cool cool.
I might just ask a few to bring desserts idk yet kinda feel cheesey doing that. I have thought of asking them to bring lawn chairs as its very expensive to rent tyhe tent, tables AND chairs. But then I think well hell I should just have a fucking pig roast then ...not!

I just want it kinda classy a little shabby chic If I may, oh I forgot to mention anything about my dress Its made of Hemp and I just fell in love with it the second I seen it. Its so pretty and it hides my fat arms well only a little but I do love it now just to get my dad to buy it for me, like next week I hope or whenever he get his next check hehe. I can post a pic of it if I can find it.

I read all kinds of wedding web sites but none of thoes people know me or my style. Not that you guys really know me but at least you guys know what kinda person I am lol this is going to be the most wondrful day of our lives.
