| Well, it's the time of year where here in Wisconsin we have the world's biggest music festival, SUMMERFEST! Just wondering if anyone on these boards plans on going and who they are going to see. Today I'm going all day and I'm going to see Def Leppard, Styx, and Foreigner with my parents at 7pm. On Monday I'm going to see Roger Waters and then The Wailers with a friend or two. Should be a fun few days! ![]()

Sweet! I hope you have fun. Keep posted on how it goes. I'm not going to summerfest, but I am going to 10klf and I'm pumped! By the way, your signature reminds me of the jingle "I am stuck on Band-Aid brand 'cause Band-Aids stick on me!" hehe

That's funny as hell! Now that you say that, I think of it all the time too! Anyways, Friday night was pretty much a blast. Since I'm 18, my parents buy me foamy off-topic beverages now. I snuck two joints in and smoked one in a port-a-potty. The other one I didn't have time to smoke. I saw a few decent cover bands during the day and one pretty good Progression Metal band. (Dimension X) The big concert with Styx, Foreigner, and Def Leppard was awesome. I've never been to such a big concert in an amphitheater, so that was cool. Styx kinda sucked because Dennis is no longer in the band. Foreigner was right on and played all their best shit. The whole crowd was basically screaming "JUKE - BOX - HEROOO!!!! STARS IN HIS EYES!!!" Def Leppard was really good to, the only problem is that their guitarist is a poser because he only played on one neck of his double guitar. Don't get me wrong, he's good - but he could have at least used the guitar as intended, unless he thought they were gonna play a song he'd have the opportunity to use it and then didn't. The only thing I was bummed about was that I didn't get to see Blue Oyster Cult because they were playing while the big show was going on. It's okay though, I only really wanted to see "Godzilla" and "Don't Fear the Reaper." Today I'm going there again and I'm going to try and sneak into Roger Waters at 8pm and then after his show I'm gonna see The Wailers and hopefully toke with a bunch of cool ass people. Ought to make a fun night, I'll let y'all know how it goes! ![]()

It was back in the 70's the last time I went to Summerfest. It use to be just 1 stage. Sounds like they have more than 1 stage now. I would love to see roger waters. What a treat, I hope you were able to get in.

Good news! I got in! It was pretty funny to start with because there were two people next to the part we wanted to sneak in by. Turns out they were trying to sneak in too and they thought we were watching them and we thought they were watching us! We ended up blazing some bomb dank with them at the show! The concert was amazing, but unfortunately we had to leave Roger Waters early to go see The Wailers. The Wailers were amazing! We only could stay to see a few songs because the driver had to go to work tomorrow. As an added bonus, we got on a bus in a park and drive. This equals free parking to start with. Turns out some radio station gave out free bus tickets on the bus, so even the bus ride was free. Then we get to the park, and they give us free tickets to get in! I'm so sad I had to leave The Wailers early, they were just starting to play "Trenchtown Rock." When we got back to the parking lot, we couldn't find our car and we thought it had gotten stolen. Turns out, it was in the parking lot across the street. Anyways, it was probably the best concert I've been to yet!

OH MY GOD! B.B. King was the best concert I ever saw. No lights or fancy things (besides a low blue light) but it was amazing! No one in the world can compare to how well he can work the crowd and get them to do exactly what he needs to get his groove going. His band is amazing as well. Probably some of the best horn players in the world. The best part of all this is at the end he threw a shit load of picks out. I noticed that all the ones he threw out were black ones with B.B. King on it. At the end I got a different one that he unsuccessfully threw into the crowd (landing it on the other side of the security wall thingy) and at the end, the security guy gave it to me. I think he actually used this one! My friend got one way at the end that a clean-up crew guy through off the stage into the empty bleachers so me and my friend both got a guitar pick that B.B. King actually played with, not some cheesy signature ones that he threw out! Hopefully it's still got some magic in it! ![]()
