"SANTA FE, N.M. - New Mexico has a new medical marijuana law with a twist: It requires the state to grow its own.

The law, effective Sunday, not only protects medical marijuana users from prosecution — as 11 other states do — but requires New Mexico to oversee a production and distribution system for the drug."

I wonder if they are taking applications for growers? And what state department would be in charge of overseeing and controlling this I wonder. I need to read more on this.

Looks like they'll be growing their own until they put a distribution system into place.

You probably need to call the Department Of Agriculture to find out. Maybe try their site for NM. Good Luck To you bro...

That's great, wonderful news! One step closer to liberation, and now the many people who need it in that area can have it. This is what I try to tell people all the time: When it's legalized, the state has to pay attention and regulate it, so it's safe.

Its all about taking little steps.

Each city/state that either decriminalizes or creates a system for Medican Marijuana is just taking the movement one step closer to legalization.

Hell, even when propositions come up that dont pass, all it does it bring more attention to the issue, and show that change is in the air.
