Come on. The guy did nothing wrong, and it wasn't like he was really harassing them or really getting into their business at all. He probably fishes there a lot and was just nice enough to say hello and since the OP was just a kid smoking pot and heard an older deep voice of course he was paranoid.

Well, from the way I read it, it didn't sound like the guy was being "polite and social".. it sounded more like he was being a dick.
I didn't say the original poster had any more right to be there than the fisherman did, I just think more people should mind their own business.

He wasn't harassing them.. I didn't say I hated the guy who did it.. I just said that people needed to mind their business.

Ok. You're right. That definetely doesn't sound polite and social it sounds like this guy is a total dick.

If you take that as being a dick then there's no hope. People need to mind their own business. Good philosophy, until you take it to the extreme. When you're on public property where people fish and you have a fisherman come up to you and say "hi, whats up, etc" and leave and then you consider that as him sticking his nose in other peoples business that is too extreme.

Making it seem like there was anything negative about this guy coming up and making polite coverstaion just isn't right. I doubt you'll be telling people to mind their own business when you're in trouble and could use some help. Or you could prove me and my damn idea of cohabitation wrong and go live alone in a cave for the rest of your life. Now thats REALLY minding your own business.

once me and my friends were chilling in a park and we see park security (dont know if you guys have that in the states, its just people who patrol the parks to make sure no one is drinking/smoking and if you are they will usually confiscate it or call the cops) drive into the park parking lot, and my friend had just finished rolling a nice blunt. So he gets up as fast as he can, almost trips over the bench, and throws it in a garbage can. Security passed by us, saw that nothing was going on, and then left. As soon as they left my friend ran back to the garbage and got the blunt out.
And yes... we did smoke it after. I have to admit it wasnt the best tasting blunt ive smoked but hey, it got me high
