Ya so I'm bored and figured I would give a story.

So me and a friend (Will) were at Wal-Mart picking up fishing supplies and heard about a little fishing spot off the highway we had never been to. So we get our stuff, go back to his house, and I roll a J of some exotic I just bought into a tasty strawberry flavored rolling paper. Then another into a lemon lime paper.

We head out, find the spot, which is down a nearly invisible dirt road off the highway. We get down there and are standing by the pond, which looks awesome... so I decide only blazing one of those joints could make it better

I light it up, we pass it back and forth a bit. Then Will steps about 10-20 feet away to check the pond out a bit more and I get close to the bank.

now the J is about half done, and I'm pretty baked already

Without warning, in a deep authoritative sounding voice "Whatch you boys up to?" RIGHT behind me! sounded just like a Texas State Trooper

shit! so I toss the J into the tall weeds and grass about 6 feet below me.

I turn around and it's just a local fellow fisherman dude a little ways behind me. *whew*

"oh just scouting this place out to see how fishable it is"
"you come here often?"
"nope, first time"
"ah cool, later"

so I immediately jump down, find the J and relight it

Will comes back a bit freaked too, he didn't hear the guy pull up either. We finish the J, do some fishing, finish the other... the END

P.S. no we didnt catch anything...

A gut feeling is a good feeling. That has happened to me before, although it was in a vehicle. We were enjoying a bowl, and I began to feel as though we would get busted. Sure enough, right after I had convinced everyone to stash their stuff, a cop pulled us over for a broken brake light. He left, we resumed smoking, and my gut feeling saved the day.

Lol one night at a party i was on the deck and suddenly all these people came rushing out 'COPS THE COPS ARE HERE AHHHHH!' they kept screaming. I look over to my friend and we get up to leave then i hear see flashlights at the side of the house so i kinda panicked and threw my pipe into the bushes and ran lol. Thats the second time that has happened...I need joints...

Yea thats real cool. I mean who is this local fisherman to be going down to a pond where people fish. The nerve of some people...and then to have the balls to say hello and make pleasant smalltalk with him. Gosh those people should be cast out of society.

Come on. The guy did nothing wrong, and it wasn't like he was really harassing them or really getting into their business at all. He probably fishes there a lot and was just nice enough to say hello and since the OP was just a kid smoking pot and heard an older deep voice of course he was paranoid.

Now making it seem like this guy was in the wrong for being polite and social to a fellow fisherman. I fucking hate that.

In Texas it is very common to run into people who drink alcohol like savages, but one word about pot and you can expect to run into the cops.

Exactly, and even though he may have looked like he tokes up every now and then you made the better choice not to offer, especially if people are touchy about pot where you live.
