I too was the end of what seemed like every joke growing up. I was extremely skinny, had braces, huge glasses, and had THE worst hair cut! I have 2 older brothers (1 younger, 2 sisters

)so all of my clothes were 2nd generation hand me downs. It sucked, we were extremely poor at the time. I also had a speech impediment topped of with an amazingly squeaky voice and with a name like Karsten, I was slaughtered.

It sucked alot, but do you know what really helped at the end those countless days of ridicule TMG? Someone to cry with,talk to, and absolutely love. I dunno, I was a very emotional kid my closest older brother was that person. He knew I was always being teased, so he would ride bikes with me and read me comics out loud. I don't know about your cousin's situation very well, but I totally understand that pain and what helped. Maybe take her out to ice cream or go to cool movie she would like? Perhaps a nice outfit she could wear to boost self confidence? You said she is in a private school, so I dunno about uniforms - either way I'm sending some serious good vibes towards this little girl. Hope those snotty girls get what they deserve.

Oh yeah, and as for how I progressed into middle school and high school? Not well. I transformed into a handsome young man no doubt, but the ridicule turned into back turning. I can remember I got a nintendo 64 and super smash brothers right when it came out, and I told everyone. I was surprised because everyone wanted to come over and play right after school! Well I get home, turn it on, and see that my 4 'friends' took all the controllers. I barely got to play, and I can remember when I did they would distract me, take the controller out of my hands, or unplug it. They even went as far as to turn it off if I was doing good. I ended up crying and they all freaked out and left. Yeah, it sucked.

Ahh, luckily I moved schools every couple of years during those times in elementary school. But then again did boys ever do that stuff no.

I guarantee that young boys are just as cruel as little girls, if anything more so because they are generally more physical (punching, kicking, etc.).

My sister was on the bigger side growing up....not fat, but just big.

After the first few fights, the other girls realized getting their ass kicked wasn't worth the name calling...lol After a while all the popular girls liked her and no one messed with her. Not condoning fighting, or anything, just sayin'
