Another big reason for homelessness is Americans' propensity for living beyond their means. They skate by each month barely able to pay the interest on all their debts. It seems like there's a payday loan shop on every corner! If you frequently can't get from paycheck to paycheck without borrowing money, you need to learn some basic economics. Something happens that interrupts these people's cash flow and pretty soon they're sleeping on the sidewalk.

I don't give money to beggars. My experience has been that they'll take whatever I give and spend it on wine. Instead, I contribute to shelters that give these poor folks a warm place to sleep and a nutritious meal.
I've seen two homeless guys in suburbia. One was kissing a tree and hugging it. The other was yelling as he ran down the street hitting cars.

About 2 weeks ago, one of my friends from Texas was here visiting. I took him around downtown Nashville, to show him around.....we came across this old guy. As we walked by he looked at us kind of weird....and he was chewing (whatever was in that white box) with his mouth widely open.

He never asked us for anything....probably figured we would be asshole's to him, but he took advantage of the next guy walking by with his GF gotta love the logic

Notice that chick laughing ? She seen us taking a picture of what was going on and was embarrassed as hell, LOL...

Typical day right in front of Joe's Crab Shack....

I was homeless for about a month and a half right after I lost my house to the police for certain wheelings and dealings and all my money as well (unmentionables involved) and never begged for money or anything. I put myself in that position and had to get myself out. I may have done some bad things on the streets to get some money together while looking for a job, but I did what I had to do to stay alive. I now work for UPS and been clean off unmentionables for several months and saving money for my own place/getting out of debt/school :] (back at my dads atm). Like someone else said, with all the time they spend standing around begging for change they could be looking for a fscking job :]

another big reason for homeless veterans would be REAGAN.
don't bash homeless people just for being homeless, only the crazies.
(said the homeless guy)
