Thats what my brother did, moved away with his GF when he was able to, he seems happy to me and is enjoying his life, he also cut his ties with my parents and refuses to see or talk to them, I advise against doing this (I don't know your parents so it may be different) just cause I saw how bad him doing this hurt my parents. Always remember that some bridges can't be rebuilt once there burned and you never know whats going to happen in the future

I know exactly what you mean about your parents being hypocritical, but I think everybody can relate to that in one way or another.
In the end we all have to deal with it - Just shut up and let your parents do what they want.

We both know that if you were to confront them nothing good were to come of it. I've confronted both my parents about things in the past, and a lot of trouble came from it. Now I'm living on the other side of the world with my GF, and speak to my dad every few days.

Just suck it up and deal with it - confront your parents when you have nothing to loose. With your parents still having control over you, there's a lot they can do (And have every right to do) to "discipline" you.
You do drugs after all. (lol)


I'm glad though my parents never were like that with regards to weed. My dad openly told me he "Smoked enough dope to sink a fucking ship", and my mom still reminds me how much she hates it. Heck my dad even offered to get me some weed if I ever wanted to get high (This was before I started smoking).
Either way, just deal with it the best you can.

That's one statement I will never agree with. There is a fine line between getting grounded and calling it unfair and you dad selling your car because he doesn't like the way you look. (My dad hates my lip ring and is on the border of kicking me out).

If its your car how can he sell it? I'm assuming that its his car that he was letting you use it, which means that if he wants to sell it because he doesn't like the way you look then he can. Is it unfair? In my opinion it is, but he can do it if he wants to

see if they will start listening to there OWN words. however choose your words wisly,and dont let ther anger pretty much just talk beacuse as soon as you raise your voice its pretty much pointless to coninue they won't listen past then. if they yell and you dont you come out on top... this hit is for you

I don't yell at my parents. Growing up I have found that not yelling gives me an upper hand. Basically, I try to be mature and calm about things. Secondly yes it is my dad's car. He paid it off, and the title is in his name. At the same time I do pay for maintaining it. I put a set of $500 tires on it, I put gas in it every week, I change the oil, I pay for my insurance, I paid to get new shocks and I paid for the brakes. When I turn 18 I'm going to offer my dad $3,000 for my car (the blue book value). If says no, just keep the car then I'm gonna tell him I want the title. If he still says no, then I'll just buy my own car.

just let it be u dont want them to get even more mad at u (or u could tamper with ur dads car so he crashes then blame it on his alcohalism) lol
