I was talking to a friend of mine earlier that told me they let school out in San Diego (this is where she is right now) because of breathing warnings, or clean air warnings or something...basically the air wasn't good enough to breath so they let school out.

She said it is some scary stuff and her brother and his family had to evacuate and they lost their homes and everything.

She is moving back here to Ark in Dec, and she said she can't wait. Pretty mild out here compared. And she said it was 90 degree there today, which the heat isn't helping the fires any!!

Right now, all over Orange County, there is a grey haze of smoke that blankets the atmosphere. I'll see if I can upload some pictures from Tuesday.

ya i had 2 small areson fires in my town that havent even been televised i think its the rice fire and some other fire but their 100% contained now but skools been cancelled cause the air quality sucks with all this smoke

Yeah at my son's elementary school they are keeping them indoors for lunch and recess do to air quality.

It sounds like the fires are out in the Malibu area. The news just said there are still 5 fires out of control in the San Diego, Orange County, Riverside area. They said another place I think it was San Bernardo County or something. I have never heard of that place so I could be wrong.

To the original OP, I hope you all came out okay.

Edit: It is called Rancho Bernardo not San Bernardo.
