| Almost three months ago, my wife left me and took our children with her. Two days later my brother had a seizure and was diagnosed with brain cancer. A lot for anyone to handle, and I soon turned to drinking. Not long after that a long time friend suggested that weed would be a better option, for various reasons, such as hangovers and such. I started smoking soon after and have used it almost daily since then (and have only drunk the occasional beer when the occasion calls for it). While it does help ease what am going through, I am surprised at some of the other wonderful side effects. I've had chronic knee pain for a few years now due to a torn ACL. I have felt no pain in that same knee since I started smoking except for the morning after a mosh pit. Speaking of which, I have had seemingly untapped energy, not only for mosh pits, but for other activities as well, including work. I had trouble sleeping even before all of my latest troubles, and it had been nearly impossible to catch any winks after they began. Now I sleep all the way through the night, except to get up once to take a piss. I can't remember the last time I had a headache, and the pain from getting my last tattoo was almost enjoyable (how sick is that?). I'm also much more relaxed and easy to get along with. Being in various smoking circles has also brought more new people and friends into my life. So this begs the question, what has weed done for you? |

| Since I started smoking (hasn't been to long, bout a year now) I've become a much more talkative person and more active in activities I also have lost some weight and become a more healthier person overall (weed made me want to take better care of myself, thinkin' long term baby!) It also helps me sleep...but only if I smoke, if I don't smoke for a couple of days then stay up till about 3 in the morning or so, and so far I haven't noticed any bad effects from it. Oh yeah, it also helps me focus more |

| Well it's helped me come to terms with emotions I've repressed for the past four years, it's treated my migraines, it's helped me deal with suicidal thoughts, it's helped me with my insomnia, and it's helped me calm down in situations where otherwise I would have been overtaken by anger, and frustration. Thank you marry jane. ![]()

| i think i'm more of an open person, not necessarily because of the effects of weed, but the culture surrounding it. I met loads of cool people because of weed as well

| Through marijuana I meet the best friends of my life. My friend was my roommate when i went to college and he introduced me to the stuff. I've been an almost daily toker ever since. (though i do take a lot of tolerance breaks). I've been at sporting events where you always find the right people to get hooked up right before the game. I still see those guys ever so often. I would say the last 5 people who walked through my house I met during some kind of smoke session. I'll never forget when I went camping and all the people who met us on the road for a smoke. Old and young regardless of race color or whatever everyone sat around smoked greens and just laughed about everything. Unforgettable things and I've only been a flat out stoner for a lil over a year |
