i'm sure that damn near everyone on here has seen advertisments for legal bud and i've tried stuff called dreamsmoke but it didnt do anything for me and i've tried salvia 10x but that didn't do anything either but i wanna try some of the other legal buds but there relatively expensive and i dont feel like wasting my money on something thats potentially pointless ya know so if anyone has actually tried them please let me know wat you thought of it and what it did for you if anything at all

and i'm an avide weed smoker (i mean obviously since im on this site lol) but i wasnt sure if that might affect the way the "Legal alternative" effects you.

I'm not a mod or anything but it seems to me that this should be an alright topic to post about seeing as how it is in a way related to marijuana because it is a product trying to replicate marijuana and there's even advertisements for products like this on this very website. Just my opinion on that and I understand if mods disagree with me for I am a lowly member of these great boards and I understand a line must be drawn somewhere. In response to the OP I have never tried it myself but I knew a kid in high school who got some sort of legal bud product and he said it did nothing. But then again there was this one kid in my college who loved the stuff to mix into bowls of real MJ. I wouldn't go out of my way for the legal stuff especially since the real stuff is usually cheaper and yummier!

Anyone curious about these "Legal Alternatives" should try going to Erowid and looking up the herbs used in these mixtures. You'll find that many of the ingredients (Wild Dagga, Kava, Artemisia absinthium, etc.) are, in fact, psychoactive. While it won't be anything like smoking marijuana, these herbs can definitely alter your consciousness (provide relaxation, stimulation, what have you). As with any conscious-altering substance, individual reactions will vary. It's simply a matter of finding the combination and dose that's right for you. I have tried them and I like them just fine. They're great for mixing with weed--especially to help mask the smell--and they're good for getting you through until that next paycheck comes or until your man "re-ups''. You can't expect it to be just like weed, you just have to take it for what it is: a legal, reasonably effective alternative.

Note: I can only speak for the "Herbal Smoking Blends" sold on the site. I have not tried the "Legal Buds," nor do I intend to, as I can find little information regarding the ingredients.

You can tell me I wasted my money, but I only paid 5 bucks for this stuff =P (my favorite drug dealer is eBay!!)
It's supposedly a gram, but damn there's a TON of this stuff in the little bag!! I swear if I had a nug that size I could sell it for a hundred bucks =\

Anyway I'm going to give it a shot and tell you guys what I think of it.. what the effects are, and whether or not I think my five dollars was well spent =P

I know it's nothing like MJ, but all the searching around on the forums hasn't provided me with much information on what this stuff is actually LIKE.. just that "It isn't bud, and it won't get you high". "It's stupid, it's a waste of money". etc.

I'll give you a detailed account on what it does when I get to it =P (probably tomorrow).

Okay, gave that stuff a shot. Packed a whole bowl and smoked the entire thing.

It took about 5 minutes to set in, and the effects lasted for about a half hour to 45 mins. I use the word 'effects' here loosely, because its kind of hard to tell what you're feeling. Basically I felt a little more relaxed, and calm. That's about it.
It really is nothing compared to marijuana, and if I had to choose between the stuff I would absolutely go for the "real thing".

I'd say smoking this stuff is like drinking a cup of chamomile tea. That's how it feels to me anyway.

Waste? Ehh... yeah. But 5 dollars isn't a huge loss.
