So, I think I'm planning on the trip to the local headshop to pick up some new glassware. I currently own a beautiful little deep blue glass spoon pipe. It's hefty but small, and hits delightfully smooth. I love the little guy. Until recently I had a simple acrylic bong with metal bowl. It was nice, I suppose, but now, in retrospect, I really am dying for a glass piece with a little more kick to it than my pipe. I've been browsing online headshops for the past while, just trying to decide (in general terms) what I'd like to get... And I still have no idea if I want to get a real nice big glass bong, or maybe a cute mini-bong. Or even a bubbler? The acrylic bong I had maybe had a capacity of 300 ml, give or take a bit. I think I want something that hits a little bigger, but at the same time, I really wouldn't mind a mini-bong or a bubbler. Anyone have any opinions or convincing arguments for/against anything?

| i'd go for the bubbler my self. Nice bubblers can usually give pretty darn good hits, maybe not as good as a roor or something, but a much thicker, cooler hit than any spoon. Bubbler have the advantage of being portable too if you get a small one.

I was going to get a bong (glass of course) but then I saw a triple bubbler and decided to get it, never hit one before and when I got home I took the biggest smoothest hit of my life, its also about 1/3 the size of a bong, only thing I dont like that much is its a pain to fill with water, takes a couple of minutes, but when I can clear a bowl in 2 hits I forgive it, I dont know what your price range is though, I went in looking for a nice bong so I was prepared to spend some money, cost me $100. its worth every penny in my opinon. anyways, I recomend a nice bub. if 100 is to expensive then you can always get a double bubbler for around 60 (singles are ok, not my favorite though, had one and didn't impress me to much) in short...I recommend a nice double or triple bubbler over a small bong

titty - I week ago or so back home, with an old friend, he whipped out his new colour changing bubbler, named Vito. Said it cost him a straight dime, but we loaded it up with a fat blunt and it was a reaal smooth ride. Just like you said, too, you went in looking for a nice bong, so you were ready to drop some cash. You know when I buy, I'm gonna buy nice. That acrylic bong I had was just a temp thing, but like, my little glass bowl? That thing is a keeper. So I'm definitely looking to get something nice, and probably expensive. Hell yes. A triple bubbler would be pretty crazy, even a dub would be nice. Oh man but isn't there something just satisfying that huge whoosh when you clear the carb and suck down that massive rip of some droskies off your big ol' glass bong. I'm going to have to make a whim decision when I see the pieces at the place I'm headed.

I'd say go with a nice glass bong over a bubbler. If money isn't a big issue I suggest getting a nice, clear glass bong, probably in the $150 range because that seems pretty reasonable to me. I love good bongs, something like an Illadelph or Roor.

Iwasfn47 - yeah, I was looking around at some online places, RooRs looked really neat. Didn't see any Illadelphs or anything, but I'll look. I did see some Hurricane bongs that just blew me away. The huge ones were like 400$ though, which is nuts. The smaller ones were affordable and still really nice looking. Anyone have any experiences with Hurricanes? titty - undoubtedly I'm going to love whatever I end up buying. My friend's CCG bubbler, in the 'bubble chamber', it actually was clear glass, so you could see it fill up. Of course, it was only as big as like, a bar of soap or something, so it's not as satisfying as watching a huge bong just fill up with milky smoke and then SCHLOOP all down into your lungs. As far as bongs go, I'm really open to what I'm going to get, my only thing that I'd really like is a bubbled base, rather than just the straight ones.

I love bongs, but I can't have one at my house, otherwise I stay too stoned for too long. I have a nice glass pipe at home, and it works great for me. Don't know if this helps or not, but hopefully you get what you are looking for.

I have always been a fan of the glass blunt. You guessed it, its a blunt made out of glass. They are hard to find, but if you find one buy it cause they are awesome.
