Buzzby, I just thought what kind of rolling papers do you use? Perhaps this could be the problem. Did the joint really suffocate from lack of inhalation, or perhaps it went out? Papers can make or break joints, as I'm sure you know.

lol so im not the only one i always thought it was my bad rolling or somthing but my weed allways does that gets rock hard after like one hit then i just peel the paper of like a candy rapper and pipe it

The tobacco wasnt a bad idea. Perhaps even a bit of those legal buds running around on the ads of this site to mix in. Ive heard some are pretty tasty, and burn quite well.

If I ever get a sack that's too sticky for js like that I leave the bag open over night and let it dry out a bit then roll a j with it. Thats what usually worked for me when I've had that problem..........

Don't grind it so much... then roll it a little more loosely.

I have experienced this. Sometimes I have found it to be because I rolled the weed too much, and it became too tight.. therefore the smoke couldn't "breathe" and would not burn. It's really frustrating after you've put your effort into rolling, and the thing just won't burn.

I ran across this problem in Jamaica. Within a couple of hits, it'd be impossible to draw on the joint. I'm not sure how, but the locals never seemed to have this problem.

Try breaking it up by hand and not with a grinder, or if you did break it up by hand, just break it into bigger chunks. How dry was the weed?

Most things have been touched on already, and this has happened to me on more then one occasion as well.

It could definitely be the dampness of the weed. Sometimes growers harvest there green to soon and it isn't the ideal thing to smoke if it isn't at least a little bit dry. Usually you won't have a problem with it if you smoke it out of a pipe, bong, or anything else with a bowl, because you are constantly re-lighting the marijuana. With a joint, the cherry slowly burns the weed, all of which is greens. This can be difficult for the little cherry on a joint if the weed is a little to damp. It could be a combo of that and resin.

Usually you won't have a problem with it if you smoke it out of a pipe, bong, or anything else with a bowl, because you are constantly re-lighting the marijuana. With a joint, the cherry slowly burns the weed, all of which is greens. This can be difficult for the little cherry on a joint if the weed is a little to damp. It could be a combo of that and resin.
