Just spent a day in San fran with a friend of mine, it was amazing, I also remember reading about hippy hill on here, asked my friend and we went, I think I got asked if I wanted to buy weed 5 diffrent times, 6 for the whole day, I was blown away just cause I had been walking the streets for a week before and didnt find anthing. It was a really fun day to say the least

Best bet for cheap entertainment in SF...

Pay $10 for the touristy boat ride that goes out under the Golden Gate Bridge and around the backside of Alcatraz.
You get views from that tour that you can't get any other way....

Can't tell ya how many times I've sailed under the Gate and endured the site of people puking their guts out of the Tour boats.

Best to choose your timing well. The conditions on the Bay change radically from day to day.

If you want to avoid the people and the potential seasickness I suggest getting out and walking or hiking. The roads and trails surrounding the bay are nothing short of spectacular...

Clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl on Fisherman's Wharf... Mmmmmm.
The soft-shell cram sandwiches are OK, but not my fave, as well.

There are a couple museums in Golden Gate Park. We circumvented the cashier going into the Natural histroy museum. There are dozens in downtown, too.
There's an arcade museum, a Maritime Museum, a Cable Car museum, the Liberty Ship & Submarine, a Tattoo museum and dozens (literally!) of art galleries within walking distance.

I don't know, I'm just gonna go to my friends and figure it out, chances are if we can take a bus to it we'll go (as long as its not to far away), although one of my friends might have a car...I should probably ask her
