I'm trying to plan a trip for next summer, for my girlfriend and I. I would really love to go to Canada somewhere and smoke some ganja. I have heard that there are cafes where you can order up joints for reasonable pricess.

Is going to Canada, getting stoned, and coming home a realistic idea? Anyone who has done this, please give me some advice!

Mmmmm not quite. If there were cafes here that you could get joints, I'd be drinking a lot more coffee. Marijuana is still illegal throughout Canada, but what is here is always great stuff.

If I'm not mistaken the cafe's in some parts of Canada do allow you to smoke but they have a bring your own buds policy.

I know there's a couple of legal places to smoke in Vancouver, but I've never been there. Toronto has the Hot Box cafe where it's completely legal to smoke but you have to bring your own bud. They have vapos at every table and a patio (called the Potio) out back that's walled in so you can just chill outside when it's nice and smoke. It's a really cool place, the only drawbacks are it has really strange hours and you can only go for an hour (it's pretty small). They have a nice headshop in the front though.

It's not exactly legal but anything weed related is treated a lot differently here as opposed to the States. It's pretty chill. You still have to be careful (don't hit the bong in front of cops) but it's incredibly widespread. A couple of weeks ago on a Friday night I was outside my dorm waiting for a pizza in the smoker's area and there were just a couple of kids hitting a fat blunt, right in front of me (and everyone else considering it was directly in front of the dorm.) Then a couple days later I found a plastic baggie with some decent looking shake in it. It was awesome haha. Of course, you absolutely CANNOT bring glass beer bottles in the dorm. THAT shit will get you in trouble. But marijuana? Not a huge deal.

I've never heard of a Marijuana cafe in Canada where you can order the weed, and I'm pretty into the culture.

We are pretty laid back here in terms of marijuana.. I doubt there is a cafe where you can actually order weed.. I think I too have heard of one where you can bring your own weed.

It's not hard to find weed here either... just gotta ask the right people

Lit Match is right. I have been to Canada several times and although I have not been in one of the Cafes have walked by them.

The Canadians are rather lax about marijuana, as long as you aren't stupid about it. They treat it similar to alcohol, but praise it much more. You can probably find some bud easy enough if your smart enough, but still caution is advised. I would suggest British Colombia if its in your range, not only is it beautiful but you could even take the Alaskan Highway depending on how far you want to go.

Oh yeah, and while you are there -buy a pack of cigarettes. You will never want to smoke again.

Dang, I don't know where I got this idea in my head, heh. That's kind of a downer though, like I was all happy thinking about going up to Canada and getting the most stoned I've ever been.

It'd be a nice memory for my upcoming 19th birthday.
