so i started smoking about 3 months ago and everybody says im hella annoying and talk alot and can be angry at times. when i am high, i feel the need to talk. when not high, im actually very quiet and shy. i dont know if i should stop smoking because of this. i do think that some of my smoking buddies dont like me around them when im high. i can see this as a serious problem later in life. is this normal? how do people usually act when high? though im not angry all the time when high, i just start shit.

Do you enjoy yourself when you smoke? What specifically gets you angry?

I am the same way... I get more talkative when I am stoned, and I am normally a quiet and shy person. I've never had people complain about it though..

How do you act? Are you just talkative or do you do other annoying things too?
It sounds a bit harsh for your "friends" not to want to be around you just because you are talking more than usual. I can understand them being bothered by the anger.. Just try to keep yourself in control more.

It's hard to say whether or not it's "normal", as everyone has different experiences.

My advice is to just keep yourself in a bit more control in terms of the anger.. You've only been smoking for 3 months, and I am sure you will find you will handle it better as you get more experience.

i actually feel important and good about myself when high. like i am somebody now. i can freely talk without having to worry what im gonna say. im not an angry person in general, but i do think my friends contribute into getting me angry because they love to mess around with me. i guess i overexagerate things. one of my friends said i "act" like im high like the people in the movies. imo, i think i just act as myself, the person inside of me that wants to come out.

there are those who smoke and want to talk, explore, learn something new
then there are those who do both

just chose which situations you want to be in, and learn how to roll with it when it's beyond your control.

I feel the same way as you do. It's almost scary. The only difference is that my friends don't get mad at me, and I don't get angry.
No offence to your friend, but it sounds rather judgmental to say that you "act like you're high".. although it is extremely annoying when people do this, it's not nice to accuse someone of it.. sounds like your friend is trying to be too cool for school (pardon the saying).

Just be who you are.. you can try to control the anger/talking, but it's not going to be much fun for you to always have to censor your feelings and thoughts just because your friends might get "annoyed".

I'd say fuck 'em and get some new friends that aren't... like those friends

Well, maybe you are annoying. How old are you? 14, 15? Are your friends older? Do you get angry after getting picked on?

I'd say just try to relax when you smoke, don't get crazy, etc. . Maybe they see you as a liability, you know, acting all crazy and angry while you're buddies got parph and weed on them.

well i mean i get angry when i need to be. example, a douche bag sprays what i thought insect killing shit into my drink, i throw my drink at him and the shit gets all over the room. im pretty sure anybody would be pissed off. i said sorry to the dude for the mess. later i find out it was just compressed air. but anyway, it just seems like my friends dont like to be around me when i am high. i act like a total retard. i am 18 btw. and my friends are about the same age. who doesnt get pissed off when being picked on? if i am getting picked on and not high, i probably wouldnt really do something but if i was, i would probably fuck with them as well.

But seriously, getting upset over something like that is totally understandable. It doesn't make it right to throw your drink at him, but I think anyone would get upset.

IF you acted like a retard in my smoking circle, you would be on the outside looking in very, very quickly.

Granted, I'm twice your age and have far more mellow friends, mostly. But I don't enjoy hanging around with people who act like retards, high or not.
