If you like the name "Mary Jane" genuiny and not because of its weed conotations go ahead, its an honest good name. If you want to name your daughter Mary Jane because you love weed so much you want to attach someone to it then i'd say no and maybe take it easy on the smoke.

i know a person whos name is mary jane but she likes people calling her MJ instead cause people that dont know her get the wrong idea. but she also smokes pot hahahaha (mary jane smoking mary jane!!)

I think the name is a fine one, but if its inspired entirely by smoking weed thats just silly imho.

I doubt i would. My moms name is Mary Jane and i dont think my grandma has any clue what she named her daughter after. Are the any others out there whos mothers has that name?

I think if I have a daughter I'll name her Mary, with Jane as a middle name. There is just too much stigma involved even if it isn't the reason I like the name.

If you like the name or it's in your family then I can see it.
But to name your kid MJ just cause you like to smoke weed is a mistake, imho.
