I can't believe that people would eat dirt, but I guess the survival instinct is so strong they will do anything to live........

OMG, that is terrible that there are people on this earth having to result to eating dirt. I guess I would do what I had to do to survive. Eating dirt is not something I would be looking forward to thats for sure as I am sure they don't either. That is just so sad Now I will re-think what I would do with the millions that I would get if I ever won the lottery.

Very sad.

I was actually watching Animal Cops the other night, and there was a horse on the show, that they confiscated after they found him being inhumanely treated. He was eating dirt/sand because he wasn't being fed properly. They mentioned that it can build up in the intestines, and cause death from the weight causing a rupture. Just something else to think about...

Also very ironic that I actually know someone from Haiti. Their family back home are all millionaires and drive Rolls Royces... then on the other side of the tracks, you have this.

Think about when you go to an all-you-can-eat buffet. There is a such a ridiculous amount of food being thrown out every day. We're throwing out tons and tons of food, while people in places like Haiti are eating dirt cookies...kinda doesn't make sense
