I communicate thru my dealers thru text because I always assumed it was safe.
Ive known for a while that phone convos is a mos def no no, cause I heared the Govt. is tapping in on us.

However I had a friend tell me that his other friend who was selling alot of ish got locked up an they used text messenges on his phone as evidence against him.


Please tell me... I'm really worried.
Ive texted so much incriminating stuff... Should I change my Phone Provider and Number?

That being said... no one is listening to your calls...

some companies did hand over their records to the government but that scandal was quick and pretty quite cause they stopped it immediatly after it leaked to the public, one of the big ones was verizon i belive

for the most part you are safe, they will not check your records unless they suspect that you are a big time dealer, texting is slightly less safe, if you have parents that pay your bill than they can get your records, i know this cause my friends girl friend was sending him pictures and her parents didnt trust her and got the records with full print out of all pictures and text messages, her parents weren't at all happy

Phone calls are safer than texts. If you have a bunch of texts on the phone, the evidence is right there, ready for use in the court. Everything is written out, and the only thing the prosecutor needs is there not to be an issue on the translation from text to English.

Phone calls and phone records rarely have an actual recording, which is better for dealers. But phone companies readily hand over information such as who you've been receiving calls from. I don't think that the police would put together a giant phone-call-web unless they were really interested in putting you down though. You'd need to be one of the bigger dealers in the area, I'm sure. Or the loudest

If the police get a court order for a wire tap, it works just as well on text as it does on voice. Are all of our phone conversations routinely tapped? There isn't that much recording equipment on the planet, but the NSA has systems that sort through signals in the air looking for key words concerning national security.

I certainly wouldn't keep a record of any incriminating text messages. If you get popped, the first thing they'll do is check your contact list and messages. It would be best if you didn't have your dealer's number on the list and that he not have yours, although they can subpoena phone records to find out who is calling whom.

The safest way to communicate is through deep-encrypted email sent through an anonymous server or a series of anonymous servers. Search for "anonymous email" on Google. PGP provides a very secure encryption application for free.

That one police officer used to say it's fine to post pics of your bud because there's no way to prove you were the guy behind the computer posting the pics. Wouldn't it be the same situation with texts? How do they know YOU were the one using the phone and actually texting the texts??

It's called "circumstantial evidence" and would be used to tie together other evidence that they'd find.
