I just wanted to let everyone know that I spoke to the nurse today and they think my mother is actively dying. I am not trying to bring everyone down but I am in need of any and all prayers you can pass our way. Not so much for me but for my mother so that she can go peacefully. I hope she can go without any further suffering or pain. As some of you know my mother is dying of COPD. Maybe this is just a really bad spell but we don't think it is. My mother asked for me so I am about to leave out of town to go be with her. I just wanted to jot a few words down so hopefully you all will say a little prayer for her. If you don't believe in prayer that is fine but please do what you do to pass good wishes her way. I would so much appreciate it. I will subscribe to this thread and I will be able to read any and all replies from my cell phone but I won't be able to respond until I come back home.

Thank you so much 5drive and Vicki. You guys are great people and I don't know what I would have ever done if I had never met you both. You both had been there for me in the past and I knew I could count on you both now. Once I get my life back to as much normalcy as I can (even though I just don't see how I ever will without my mother) I promise I will never let you down if you ever need me.

I love you guys so much!

Sorry to hear that, 29, but keep faith. I went through a very tough time with my mother last year(stroke), but even though the doctors weren't optimistic, we all had hope and my mom pulled through. . . They said she'd probably not make it, never walk, etc.. but she's still here and can walk to boot. Just 'cause a professional said it, doesn't mean it's always true..

Good luck. I'll say some prayers for you and your mother.

That is horrible! I hope she makes it, but on the other hand, I hope she is without pain.

We always take our mothers for granted. I hope this thread gives some perspective to us all
