Alive-And-Dreaming

Today, I got searched by the popo. I had just smoked at the synagogue and I was walking back with my friends Baily and Xoaquin, and I heard a scream. I turned around, and across the street, a black man about 40 years old with greying hair was being arrested by two white cops. They told him to get up against the wall and stop resisting (Which he wasn't). They threw him against the wall, bloodying his face.
"Go play in some slop, you fucking pig!" Yells Bailey. One of the cops, the smaller one, stops, and comes over to us.
"What did you say, you kike?" The officer says, motioning for Bailey and I to spread our legs open.
"What did you call him?" I said, infuriated, but calm. "Because it sounds like you said kike, which is a racial and religious slur."

He reaches in my pocket and finds an empty pack of papers. He holds it up to me, a mocking question already on his smug lips. I answer first. "I found it in the street, it was littering. I picked it up to throw it away at the next trash can I find."

He searches Bailey and finds nothing, and then Xoaquin, who has a lighter.
He tickets me and bailey for disturbing the peace, and Xoaquin for having a lighter as a minor. He then said, and I shit you not: Stay our of trouble, boys. I don't want to have to do that again. and then he winked before going over to the "Resisting" Old man.
