We went the the Central Florida Zoo today, and it was very nice. Very reasonable prices, on everything. They had the Easter Bunny, and a lot of free candy & toys, as well as an Easter Egg hunt, which my daughter loved.

We saw a lot of animals, and got to feed the elephants too! I was feeding a Zebu....

and, while I was petting the back of his neck, he forced his head up, and stabbed me with his horn really close to my underarm area. He took me by surprise, and almost ripped my shirt off too. Their horns are too blunt to break the skin, but I bruised almost immediately. My whole arm hurts like hell too. I think he hit a nerve. Oh well, I'll live. It's not the first time I've been injured by an animal, and it won't be the last.

I do have to admit, I hate seeing the animals caged up, but a lot are endangered species, so I know they need to be protected. They had 2 bald eagles that were injured to the point that they can never be in the wild again. They can't even fly very far.

Has anyone else been to their zoo lately?

I bought a stuffed Cougar and and Kangaroo with a baby in her pouch for me, and my daughter got a Clouded Leopard and Kangaroo too.
