My friend and I just smoked some marijuana from near the base of mount everest in tibet. We bought it with spiritual purposes in mind: To get closer to god. Now, that has changed, and we use it, the ganja from tibet, to burn the culture into the air so that it isn't lost forever.

The Chinese are right with you. They've been burning Tibetan culture into the air for half a century. 6,000 monasteries with huge, irreplaceable libraries, all dust, ashes, and gases in the air.

Yeah, I know. hence why I smoked it, only I did it as a way to preserve the culture, not destroy it.
