well ok so i know this pothead who might be able to get me some pot. but here is the catch he works with my dad and is kind of friends with him. should i ask him and take the chance he might tell my dad or ask and maybe get a new dealer.

hope this is not against the rules im just asking for advise here.

Uhm.... Well, pot is everywhere. I am sure if you go to a big area and ask around you can get a good contact. That's how I do it, when I am in a new place.

But if you don't want to do that... Fuck it, and just ask.

If he's a dealer than I wouldn't worry about him saying to your dad, "Oh John, guess what? I am a pot-dealer and your son is my newest customer!". He probably won't go around telling people.. it's something most people treat with discretion.

Yeah, he probably won't tell your dad.
But if your nervous, tell him not to tell your dad. Seriously, it sounds dumb, but it's the only way to make sure. If you can't trust him to not tell your dad after you've asked...don't buy pot from him

Honestly, I wouldn't do it.
If this person is friends with your dad and he sees something in you that he feels is not in your best interest, he will drop dime on you. He may even do that if you merely approach him about getting some pot. It all depends on how close he & your dad are and how much he cares about you both.
That's extremely difficult to judge.

So I'd say play it safe and look elsewhere. You'll be avoiding a lot of potential grief.

As a parent myself... If one of my friends' kids approached me to get some pot, they wouldn't get any, for one. I also wouldn't tell their parents that they approached me unless I felt there was a deeper problem. It's not because I'm trying to be a dick, but because I know parents don't want to see their kids on a downhill slide.
