Default Spiritless?

In the beggining of the school year I got really depressed because I missed the summer, but it didnt go away like it ussualy did. From about september to january I felt depressed and just couldnt wait for school to end. But that feeling went away, and It feels like my personality did too. I'm never happy, never excited, never anxious, never hopeful, not even really sad. Somtimes I just feel angry, but for the most part it feels like I lost all my spirit and emotion.I also feel like I can't mentally or physically tolerate another day of highschool. Did I die inside?

I've kind of felt like you have before. It's kind of weird. You start getting used to a routine, and you can't wait for the routine to change.

How's the spring been for ya? I don't know how you are, but my mood is always pretty funky at the change of the seasons.

I know what you mean and I've recently come out of a very long depression that lasted from about thanksgiving to a few weeks ago. Meditate, thats how I kicked it. Roll up a joint, go lay down out side when the sun is out, smoke yourself down, close your eyes and focus every thought on something positive. The sun, birds, the tree leaves making noise in the wind, or the smell of your joint are good things to focus on. The last three weeks nothing new has changed in my life for the positive other than my attitude towards life, as a matter of fact college is getting harder, however these have been three great weeks. I meditate now 45 min every morning and it helps. Keep your chin up and your head high. All things are hard before they are easy; keep your mind focused on your goals and you will achive them.

Good advice. I know that when I'm feeling down for a long period of time I usually have to start doing something new like pick up an exciting new hobby or something. On a daily basis, meditation is extremely helpful. Positive thoughts really help. My mom always told me that things aren't really as bad as they seem and simply acting in a positive manner (finding social interaction, doing something nice for someone, smiling when you really don't want to) can start to change your mood. We often think that our lives dictate our moods but there are ways around it. Stay up dude!

Well, thanks for asking. I think things are starting to turn around now. I think i have a seasonal mood disorder and the winter really gets to me. All the tree's and nature are dead, its always cold and kind of dark out. When the weather here in PA started to get nice though I noticed my mood got better. The birds are out, the tree's are blooming. I just have to figure out how I make it throught the rest of the school year without going crazy. I think things are getting better though, thanks guys.

But ya the winter time always gets me down all thats needed is a little bit of alcohol and some pot in the sunny weather and things always start to look up. School sucks though dude for real it does im happier sitting my ass down in my own apartment every single day of life and working a crappy minumum wage job. That sounds bad but education and university are not for me im way happier living with 2 or 3 good friends and drinking and partying all day and night been that way since I was 16
