By this account, though snopes offically lists the event as "undetermined" it seems at least some accounts say the dog was well-fed, and that it actually escaped during the "exhibit". Before jumping on the bandwagon and automatically beliving things no matter how absurd they sound, learn to look for verification. Few things happen in this day and age that aren't recorded somehow. If you're foolish enough to naturally believe even the most ludicrious tales without verifying them in any way, the whole "sheeple" thing is demonstrated perfectly. Not to point fingers, but why didn't the OP look for verification? Is it because we WANT to believe the worst whenever possible? Is it because we've been conditioned to believe what we're told? WHY would someone believe something just because it was psoted on Myspace? Critical thinking is a must in today's bullshit filled world. If you can't think critically, you're nothing more than a pawn to be manipulated...by the media, by cooperate America, by the government, or, for that matter, by ANYONE

As a Vegetarian, given if it is fake or not, the reason I posted this was to have a safety net and let the peoples voices be heard by the petition.

But if the petition isn't reflecting what actually happened, what good is it? If its built on a false premise, its completely meaningless. The simple fact is you should have verified it before passing it along. Thats why one has to be careful using the internet as a source of info. Misinformation is rampant, and people have absolutely no problem just belieiving what they read and passing it along as fact.....despite the fact that oftentimes the information being passed is completely inaccurate. Hence, I stand by my comment that people who don't think critically are merely pawns to be used by others.

True enough...but the OP obviously didn't do his research, so I'd verify the information before simply depending on it to be correct. The same should go for ALL infomation. Info is only as good as it source(s). ALWAYS verify info before passing it along as accurate
