| Hey Before I went to China I heard alot of people say some crazy things about it. Like "Chinese girls have slanted pussy" or "They will kill you over there" I want to hear what you think about China and maybe I'll tell you something you didn't know. |

| as in most countries the violence usually depends on the neighborhood u are in, the us can be pretty dangerous as well, but that also depends on the neighborhood. dont know much about china, but i think a marijuana charge is a pretty heavy charge. |

| Well China is not really dangerous compared to America. Their cops don't even have guns. Petty crimes happen everyday, like phones getting ganked or purse snatchers. There isn't much violence, unless you go to someplace like Tibet. There are riots going on there. Weed is scarce here, in low supply. If you know the right people you can find it. I hear that the dealers here can have the police in their pockets for about $14. Thats also about how much you will pay for a gram of dirt. A few people told me that it grows wild in regions around the veitnam border. |

| Street vendors are suppose to get permits, but the rarely ever do. Many people buy up goods from factories that they worked at, or know someone who works at it. After work they setup a vending stand on the street to make some extra money. Its illegal, but the police cannot control it. Sometimes the street will be congested with them. One day I was walking down the street and I saw all of the vendors pick up their blankets and tables and run with all their shit. The cops were walking down the street with a camera. They have a special police unit for these people, the normal police will usually ignore them. One Policeman had a bad experience. I saw this on the news, it happened near my apartment outside of Walmart. A woman was selling goods on the street, a little too close to Walmart. The police tried to take her stuff, and somehow the woman got the Officers pants down and bit off part of his dick!!! |

| I have had bad experiences with the Chinese. Maybe it's different on the West Coast, but over here, they operate with slave labor and they add MSG to their food even though they have a sign that says they don't.

| I know that china has more potential to positively or adversely effect good will (amongst other things...) on the world stage in the next few years than any country has in a very, very long time.

| Through reading and observing the news I know that the Chinese government has labeled the Dali Lama a terrorist and are using their military strength to oppress Tibet. I know the Chinese government shows no moral restraint when it comes to murdering their own citizens that voice dissent. I know they are one of the countries suffering from food shortages (due to biofuels and inflated fuel prices). I know they are hosting the Summer Olympics. Friends that have visited shared stories about bathrooms, poverty and the country's beautiful heart. HMH |

| OP... if you are wondering why their cops may not carry guns... just remember its amazing how different a culture of people will act when there are such harsh penalties against things. You have to remember that in China, "freedom" is usually a crime. (I'm speaking based on what I know in regards to their internet regulations and what not) If you're trying to make it seem like the world has china wrong... then maybe you should keep reading up on China instead of basing everything off of your 1 good vacation there. |
