| Welcome, Nick. I'm pretty new to the scene as well...actually coming up on a year. As far as rolling joints go, I've never actually tried...my buddies always do it for me. As far as I know, there a some very good videos on youtube, but when it comes down to it, I think it would be best to have someone show you hands on. As far as your first time goes, you may get high, you might not. Some people adjust to marijuana at different paces. It'll hit you though. So good luck and welcome aboard! |

| I would suggest rolling paper over other paper, but you can. Just don't use toilet paper is my main recommendation. Maybe get some card-stock or something to make a roach (I have it around the house so it's just what I use). It doesn't matter too much, but I have a book I can send you (on the computer, .pdf) that is great on explaining how to roll, with pictures and all, and different styles. Other's here can prob give you better advice, I don't roll very often, and when I do I try to do it cheap (less money on materials = more for ingredients) some links: How to Roll A Joint? A full joint rolling guide for beginners. The Hempfiles - Smoking - The Joint Rolling Tutorial And Welcome to the Forum. Hope you enjoy it here ![]()

| Congratulations! You gonna be a Viper! ![]() Do a Google search on "rolling joint". You'll find dozens of procedural instructions with pictures and videos. Getting some real rolling papers is well worth the minor investment. Most other kinds of paper are too thick, too stiff, or not strong enough, and none of them are gummed. It might be easier to just get yourself a little pipe. My recommendation for beginners is that they take one hit and wait for ten minutes to see what happens. After ten minutes, if you want to be higher, repeat as necessary. That's much easier to do with a pipe because you can put a one-toke pinch into a pipe. A joint you'd have to keep lighting and putting out. If you haven't heard already, many people don't get high the first time they try. Or the second, or the third, or the fourth... It would be best if you smoked with someone experienced. They can clue you in to what's happening. It can be very subtle.

| a lot easier. You don't have to grind up the herb or roll any paper, and don't need as much materials or work. Just put the bud in and light up. The only advantage to using a joint is that once you get it lit, you don't have to use your lighter anymore. (imo and experience) |

| for a nice pipe yes 30-40 dollars but for one that you would want as a beginner it will cost 10-15 dollars, and remember always get GLASS, other materials will give off everything from odors to fumed that are not good for you and can cause a host of problems, that means metals and woods, stone i believe would be acceptable but go for the glass and Happy Toking ![]() |

| I had one quick demonstrations on joint rolling when I started out. When I was home alone and didn't have shit to do. I'd just practice and practice and found my own techniques on rolling an awesome joint. Practice makes perfect! And I love joints. Glass pipes are awesome to. They are very convenient and not really time consuming. Welcome to the world of the reefer.
