Yup, thats my feeling as well.

I don't want to "convert" anyone to my way of thinking. Either they are inclined to it or not...if not, oh well, enjoy the crazy man's stories!

If, however, one finds themselves aligned with what I express and they wish to discuss it with me further, i'm happy to do so. People need to make up their own minds, think for themselves and find their own set of ideals/values that they feel fit them best.

I just kind of throw my ideas/mind out there and see if anyone "bites" or feels the same as I do.

No me vs. you, no "i'm right, your wrong.."

We all are right in our own realities...aren't we? LOL

Well, if you want to call it that.

From my point of view it's just a pragmatic choice.

I believe what I believe. That there are immutable, unchanging, constant laws of physics that can and will be quantified, whether or they're currently fully understood or not. I believe we have a great understanding, and have most of the equations mostly right. A few are fuzzy, and we don't completely understand... but all in all, we've got it down mostly.

It's all quantifiable.

So, rather than have to argue with you about it, since I don't have any evangelistic urge to save you - you can believe what you want.

My favorite philosophy, pragmatism. You believing my way doesn't positively influence my life, nor will it likely positively influence yours (especially considered with how much of a pain in the ass it is to change peoples minds about such trivial things...).

Can I as you in all honesty do you think that in 300 years the same laws of physics and science we go by will still ring true? Just asking...?

Yes. The laws of physics have been unchanged as long as records have been kept. We have no evidence that they've ever been different.

Water has always cut through rock, confirming erosion, confirming friction, confirming gravity, etc. Everything works, everything fits. The laws that apply now, have been seen to been the same back 12 billion years ago, back into the earliest times in the universe by Hubble Space Telescope.

"We are not a human being trying to attain a spiritual experience, but, rather, we are spiritual beings having a human experience." - Telliard deChardin

I really like that quote, kind of shuts me up and makes me ponder and think for a moment.

The complete quote is;
Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.
Sir Winston Churchill, Hansard, November 11, 1947

While we're on the subject of Chuchill quotes...
One very interesting thing, I heard this when I was very young - and since I've always loved quotes. You've gotta start out somewhere, right?
It is a good thing for an uneducated man to read books of quotations. Bartlett's Familiar Quotations is an admirable work, and I studied it intently. The quotations when engraved upon the memory give you good thoughts. They also make you anxious to read the authors and look for more.
Sir Winston Churchill, Roving Commission: My Early Life, 1930, Chapter 9

Churchill really did love quotations;
"Broadly speaking, the short words are the best, and the old words best of all."

He had a really cool philosophy....
"Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught."
and
"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give."

Another interesting quote by Sir Winston Churchill, kind of applicable with the Medical Marijuana Movement, Foreign Aide, Free Health care, etc.
So they [the Government] go on in strange paradox, decided only to be undecided, resolved to be irresolute, adamant for drift, solid for fluidity, all-powerful to be impotent.
Sir Winston Churchill, Hansard, November 12, 1936

Response to the first post:
You're going to have to show me some proof on this. Are you really blind enough to believe in the speculative and fundamentally flawed logic of these theories?

Also, you claim that certain celebrities are "free-masonic illuminatists", which is first of all impossible for you to prove, and second: WHAT THE HELL is a free-masonic illuminatist even supposed to be or mean?!

It took me a night and a half of thinking... but I finally found the quote that I was looking for to go along with this post - however I can't edit it (I think it has to do with the computer I'm on).

The true triumph of reason is that it enables us to get along with those who do not possess it.
