Awesome story, man! Look on the bright side though. Some of the biggest bands have done stuff that hasn't been in "school policy" so to speak. Even gained a fanbase that way.

It went great guys I wasn't really even nervous which is so unlike me.. I guess you could say I had a little liquid courage

The guy I was playing with decided that he didn't want to preform because he wasn't "feelin' the crowd". Apparently there is usually a bunch of people that come for the music.. but almost everyone there was just talking amongst themselves. There's some hockey world finals in town and also a Queens of the Stoneage concert last night, so maybe that's where all the regulars were
He decided last minute to do it anyway (after I expressed disappointment and others did as well) and it was great. He was brilliant and I did pretty good too I hope.

I had a great time though. I stopped the song a tad prematurely but no one noticed. My guitar volume was kind of quiet but I am going to make sure she's loud and clear next time. Damn those stage lights are hot and bright though I am looking forward to future open mics down the road.

"I had a great time though." That's really what it's all about. You're not in a job interview, it's music. It's supposed to be fun! No room for uptightness here, haha!

I know you've probably heard it before, but the audience generally doesn't notice mistakes. And if they do, it's no big deal. Ending a song prematurely is hardly the end of the world. I've done it before and it's really just something you roll with.

In the end it's all about fun. If the audience had fun and you had fun, what's the problem? Am I right?
