Wow. As of a few hours I am done as an undergrad. I have been at the same school for the past 5 years (about an hour from my house) and it's over suddenly. Such a bittersweet feeling. I have made so many friends here. I met the girl I've been with for over 3 years. I have matured into an adult.

And now... it's over. I'm ready to move on but will cherish my time here. College has been such a great time in my life. I'm experiencing such mixed emotions right now. I feel very happy but also very sad.

Cheers to everyone who is graduating from college, high school, or wherever.

i'm a senior this year, but hopefully will graduate midterm my 5th year. i'm jealous of you! i want out of school, but of course as soon as i'm done i'll feel the opposite. you mentioned being done with undergrad, are you going on to grad school? what's your degree in?

Yeah I am going to grad school but not until next spring. I need a little time off. I plan on teaching, so I will be getting my masters. I know it's not required everywhere but to teach in NY I need it...

The degrees I have don't really go together at all

Major in physical education
Major in philosophy
Minor in Biology

The only reason I'll be graduating with a philosophy degree is because I took a lot of philo classes my first few years here. Then I realized I only needed a few more classes in it to make it a major.

cool! teaching's a good field to go into. a LOT of my friends are education majors, but then again, that's what my university is known for (that and t-comm... david letterman FTW!! haha). have an idea of what age level you want to teach?

I too am on the long, arduous road to becoming a teacher. university professor of music more specifically. 5 years to go

Congrats, my big sister is in the same boat as you and is scared shitless. Don't fret it though, if you were dedicated in college than someone will hire you, just make sure to take a job you love and one that is't about money. My sister taught me that and next year she will be working for Americorps on minimum wage in chicago, but she gets to help out in shelters so it's what she wants to do.

I am only a college freshman and just by graduating you have inspired me and others to do the same.
