Hi, im 15 years old. i just smoked for my first time 2 weeks ago, using a bong and i LOVED it. My freinds kept telling me i was tripping out on stupid shit... they made me feal really dumb so i felt really unconfortable about smoking weed with them. then a week later at my dads house, he said "cannon, i just want you to know that i smoke pop about 6-7 times a month. and i know that your going to get high sooner or later with anthony, so your first might aswell be with me" and we got blazed out of our minds on a bubbler. i think it was hydroponic stuff. i didnt really remeber that well but my dad told me he had never had so much fun (nohomo) because i was "tripping out on stupid shit". my dad was cooler about it, but my freinds keep daring me to try dro and kush and sour deisle and shit like that... sounds AWESOME but im afraid i will act stupid and get made fun of and embarresed by my freinds. they keep laughing at me cause ill call a nickle bag a nickle bag... they laugh and say " 'nick' you idiot..." or residue becomes "res" or "resi"... i feal like an idiot. is it a natural effect to tripp up on wierd things like a plasma globe??? will i get "better" at smoking weed so my freinds with still smoke with me and have a good time?

That's really lame man, I definately wouldn't want to be around people like that when I first started smoking. If they are treating you like that then they are a little too immature to be smoking in the first place. Maybe try and find some kids to toke with who are more chill and mature about it.

Don't smoke to fit in, smoke to enhance yourself. If you think it's fun, then do it to have fun. Don't feel like you need to fit in or use the right lingo. Hell, my stoner friends (who smoke excessively) use all this "green" and "dime" and slang. Being a pretty lax Buddhist, and a believer in the desecration of English, I use the correct words. I don't talk much, but when I do, I have something relative to say, and I usually absorb my high and relax to the good energy around me.

Seriously, it sounds like you do it not for mental stability or relaxation; you do it for fun. Like I said earlier, do it where you feel comfortable, do it responsibly, and if you enjoy smoking with your dad, do it! Say to him that you enjoy spending time with him, and that you had fun, and you'll remember good times instead of you "tripping out" to a globe light and your friends making fun of you.

For some reason, I am always silent when I'm high. It's strange. it's a great thing - usually I contemplate thoughts...

everybody that i can think of acts goofy when they first start smoking. there is nothing wrong with it. sometimes i like to smoke with new smokers just because i think its funny. to me its all about laughing and having a good time. not sure why some people feel the need to cut you down to have a good time though.

Dude don't fret, I trip out on stupid things and feel really stupid when I smoke a lot of pot, it's what being stoned is. I am sure your friends aren't trying to hurt you in any way, and if it really bugs you talk to them about it.
