when you apply for a job lets say as department manager at blablas, those who wre going to say yea we want this jack ass outta here NOW or eh we'l give em a shot are gunna wanna know that you have a little experience in the department. now lets take this to the presidential race. the PRIMARY function of the COMMANDER IN CHEIF,or those who slep in gov/economics and history we'll just call him theresident. ok so now that the title has been established, lets look at the resposibilities of the COMMANDER IN CHEIF...
The highest ranking official in the US military( even when the five star Gen. of wartime comesaroun). so you have all these jokers applying for the position of the leader of the worlds largest and most powerful military force to date, do you think that we might want someone who knows what its like to be shot at? to be a prisoner of war in the enemys camp? or someone who knows NOTHING ABOUT the force that thjey will be commanding.

Getting your ass shot off, spending years in a POW camp and then getting a film made doesn't qualify anyone to be commander in chief. I want one of the fuckers that didn't get shot down to apply for the job. At least they know about war and HOW TO WIN.......

Being a prisoner for five years doesn't fill me with self assurance.......

Maybe they should of given him a nice cushy desk job instead of nominating him for president. Besides that, I.....uh.......fuck.

In my mind, you do not need first-hand experience on the battlefield to be qualified as Commander-in-Chief. By simply lasting this long in a presidential race, the candidates have displayed varying signs in certain instances which would point to the fact that they could handle the job. If the population never saw any of the candidates fitting to take the role as Commander-in-Chief, they would not have backed them through the race.

i am only trying to point out the fact that Obamah has ZERO military experience and that the position he is gunning for is the leader of the U.S. Military.i agree that McCain appears to be a spineless ball of snot. I dont see that puting Non-military personel in charge of the militaery is a great idea. And as a part of 'Middle America' and the working class i am very proud of my country and i fly my colors proudly.

of course we did send monkeys to space so why not put the free world super power in the hands of a man that dosent believe in the flag and honor those that gave thier life for it. Or maybe i feel threatened by a man that thinks that us 'honkeys' all drive tractors and live on some hick farm.I just see Obamah and Clinton an unqualified and more than not Obamah as being narow minded and not telling the states everything. I hear him hiding something when he speaks.

First off, you get a slap on the wrist for the double post . Secondly, there have been former presidents with no experience on the battlefield so it is not a groundbreaking scenario.

And in case anyone has forgotten, there's more going on in this country than war. We need to vote for the candidate we feel will address all of our problems, not just the one who's more qualified to blow people up.

The last thing this country needs is someone who's going to continue this senseless war. Obama's stance is to practice "strong diplomacy", meaning he'll attempt to work with those that we're at war with and try to reach a solution, rather than just bombing the crap out of them and hoping it all works out.

This is why Presidents have advisers. They're not just sitting in the White House making all the decisions on their own; they have people that are knowledgeable and experienced in various fields--including high-ranking military officials--that advise them in areas that they are less familiar with.

my apoligies for the double post. it just seems to me that if these canadates are the best this country has to offer..... were getting duped by owr own. you know like tomato soup. yea its got a bright color but its thin, runny and leaves a bad taste and that is how i feel about all of the canidates. no substance to thier words. what happed to the passion of kenedy and rosevelt toward this country. its like they are all nixon. and bla bla blaay know

I have to agree with you here. Seems like they scraped the bottom of the barrel when coming up with our '08 candidates. I don't like any of them at all and won't be voting.
