| I believe, with the debate about decriminalization, legalization, medical marijuana, the happenings in Canada, and the States starting to get angered by the feds, I believe Politicians are going to awaken, rub their bleary eyes, and ask. "What about marijuna?" They will ask as though it is a new question, but that is okay, at least they will start asking. Could you, in a public venue, would you raise your hand, and say.. "I am a marijuana user, and I not only believe it should be legalized, I will only vote for those politicians which show they are of a like mind with me" Could you? What if mom and dad were standing beside you, or your boss? The preacher? You see, I know what you are being asked to consider, and it is no easy thing. But it is my firm conviction, until we follow the other groups, and bring ourselves out of the darkness, not much is going to change. Richard Cowan points toward the gay rights movement, and his arguments have had success in persuading me. He makes the point, that until these people shed the societal and personal inhibitions, and shame that propaganda and false morals had laid upon them, nothing will change look at minorities and women. for years, minorities KNEW..you did not get uppity. For years untold, women KNEW...you did as you were told, and kept peace in the family. If you are too young to remember these attitudes, they were very much a part of my growing up, and one, frankly I am glad is on the way out. All because of an old adage. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" It is as simple as that. How often have we heard of the vocal minority winning. What is the only difference aside from numbers against the silent majority* Outspoken opinion. Could you......would you? Think about it Kelly

| "when the farmer draws his crop, he does not complain of the insects that bite, nor of the dryness of the land, nor even of heat of the day. these things he understands are in our hands, and is our providence. no these things he holds against us not, yet he asks but one question: must you takewith taxes food from my mouth to feed yourself?" i would stand and speak. it would be an honor. | |

| I bet anyone would, even if you are shy or anything, everyone is tired of these stupid laws! If your parents would be next to you... hmmm? what would that change? Is marijuana bad? Heck no! We gotta teach this to everybody who is scared of marijuana! Weed is a utility brung up by god, for the human! As it's said in the bible, every plant growing with seeds, was planted by god for the human to use... | |

| Sometimes, direct confrontation is the only way to get your point across. You might have to do something irrational like stand up in the middle of a political debate and be flat out honest. If it meant getting one step toward legalization, I would stand tall and admit my marijuana usage and speak my mind. Perhaps once I'm of voting age (only a year) I would attend a debate that included marijuana legalization.

| I haven't ever voted and I have had a few chances now, and the ONLY thing that would get me to vote is a party that strives to legalize it. I believe the governments are outdated and that voting for a member of a party is ridiculous. The majority does not nearly always conform with common sense, it conforms with money, it is a very corrupt world and that's why I won't vote for a single soul unless they are adamnet about MJ legalization, and have the specifics taylored to freedom and common sense (common, that is to intelligent people who understand the entire issue) all figured out, or with reasonable options figured out. I damn sure would speak out about marijuana in public if asked, hell if there was a rally and everyone I knew who would be taken aback by my stance were in the front row, I'd get up and speak my piece as eloquently and truthfully as I could. But that's not going to work in my view, just saying, "yo we think it should be legal, here we are, we live in your communities and there are a fair number of us," all we do is enter the game of lobbying, which like everything else is a game of money, not to mention an incredibly slow process. That said, if our side had some money to get our point across, it would be much better spent in my eyes making commercials much like the "truth" group does to speak out about tobacco. If we had pro-marijuana ads running on tv, even if they weren't long or there weren't too many, it would turn some heads. Like the article on the front page today about the legal drugs of tobacco, alcohol, and caffeine (drugs that I stay away from as much as possible, but I'll have a pop once in a while, and rarely I'll add some vodka to it). Plus I don't use other drugs. If we could get the hypocrisy message out about the legal drugs compared to marijuana, plus have testimonies from people who live fine lives with marijuana, maybe even enhancing their lives, that would work better than lobbying even though the points each method was trying to get across would be identical. But that's just me, I think we need to be innovative in our strategies if we actually want to be heard (AND LISTENED TO!). One idea that gets commercials out, but not the expensive way on tv, is to make one and approach local movie theatres with it to air before movies. I don't know about where you're at but here during the ads the local theatres also have a quick spot that says, "contact the theatre if you want to advertise here." Of course there is the issue of money, we don't have a product or any way to get the money back. But I think that's the way it'll have to be, with some sort of calculated risk. Oh, this strays off topic, but there are TWO other things that would get me to vote for a member or party: 1.a very strict stance on overpopulation and a plan for a concentrated nationwide effort to reduce the population over generations, and 2.if they wanted to outlaw garbage completely and recycle everything in the country I would also vote for whoever they were. Or they could give Canada to ME and watch it flourish heads shoulders and torsos above every other country on the planet, individually I think we are an intelligent species, but humanity looks downright retarded if you look at the state of the world and what we really are capable of.

| I, for one, will always stand up for what I believe in. And I believe the Herb will be legal.

| I sure would stand up and admitt to everyone that Iam a marijuana user, becasue that is the only way we are ever going to win this war. If we stand up for what we believe in, then there is no way The Man can stop us. We need to unite and stand together and say " I will not vote for anyone that is against medical marijuana, or any other kind of use." Its very simple if we dont vote into office, the bastards that hate people like this then, maybe we will have a chance. | |

| Just so you all know, I am almost a perfect example of a brainwashed DARE graduate gone the way of the herb. Until I was 15 (I am 17 now), I always thought that weed was as bad as cocaine, heroin, ect... That's what most of my friends felt as well, thats what we had been taught. When I used to do debate at school, I usually even sided with the anti-weed argument when marijuana legalization was a topic of debate. I woke up though. My good friend introduced me to bud, and since then and finding your amazing website I have been a huge supporter of Cannabis and legalization. Not only that, but I have converted my friends, if you will. Those aforementioned friends remained brainwashed until the end of their junior year when, finally, they approached me (after millions of my pro-weed debates with them) and wanted to try some weed. They, too, have finally seen the light. All that is necessary, believe me, is public information. Misinformation and Drug War propaganda has taken over, but if we can re-take the airwaves and magazines, then we can send the antis right back where they belong. JAIL. Peace |

| Of course I would. Hell I do now. Everyone I know knows I smoke. It's the only way I'll have it. Except my boss and principal of course, and grandmothers and father, but everyone else. | |
