Cool Lunch With Michelle Obama!

My neice is going to graduate a year early from her college and was voted president of the Democratic Youth Chapter at her school. The Obamas had made plans to stop there for lunch and a little feed back from the college age crowd in this area. Michelle Obama latched on to my neice and they talked about a lot of stuff.

The Obama's are working very hard on the economy but that's not what they think about all the time. He wants to make improvements in schools around the country. Try to get more salaries and better materials so we can start raising the quality of our education that we can give these children.

My neice said Michelle was very articulate and knows almost all about these things we face now. Barack allows himself to listen to her and weigh her opinions on these issues because she is a very smart woman.

It's great that I'm sitting here looking at the picture of my neice and Michelle Obama side be side, proud I'll admit, especially when Mrs. Obama said call her when she graduates as she thinks she would like her on the staff at the Whte House to help her do something. It was surprising to everyone there because Michelle was supposed to mingle with the crowd and spent almost all her time with my neice. Even when the secret service told her it was time to leave she lingered with my neice, seemingly to have reached a rapport with her.

I feel very good that we have elected a president it seems who is genuinly concerned about the Average american moving up the ladder instead of not moving at all or scared it will get worse. I have faith in my neice because I trust her to know if these people are sincere or just a bunch of goofball's.

She says they are the real deal...Comforting thoughts..........

Nice post!

They both came from hard working class families. And I am sure they still have the memory etched into the way they see the United States.

But this is awesome news dedbr, I am very happy for your niece.

Very cool, dedbr. I've never been even a little bit the fan club type but I'll admit that's a lunch I wouldn't mind sitting in on. Not your average "celebrities". Your Niece should seriously consider taking Michelle up on her offer. Chances like that don't come along even once in a lifetime for most people.

I was wondering who Nichelle Obama was. I thought maybe she was a relative of the Obamas or something like that.

So is your niece pro pot? If she got a job on the obama team maybe some more dialogue could be opened on the subject?

I was just thinking along the same lines... if your niece has a chance to get into the White House, maybe she could sneak into the Law Room late one night and make some changes.

...or wait, is that how it works?

Cool

As a matter of fact, my neice did get to ask a few questions about herb. Michelle Osaid there is no use to imprison anyone for a victimless crime. The violence associated with illegal drugs would disappear if we could cpme up with a workable legalization law.

AS far as medical marijuana? Obama is a huge supporter of stsates rights and feels the U.S. government, ( meaning the DEA )lshoud cease and desist all raids on dispensarys.

We can only wait and see, huh......

So, what are your thoughts on this? Do you think he will keep his word when the White House said they expect the DEA raids to cease?

I think this is a step in the right direction. Not a huge step, but atleast they get it.
