Mrs. P was thumbing through a local paper and brought this to my attention, Tax Day Tea Party .

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am kind of fed up with the government taking money (taxes) from me that I would be using to better my families quality of life. The government seems to have this notion that they can levy unreasonable and oppressives taxes against us at will these days, so this struck a nerve.

Quite frankly, I don't see things getting any better as time goes by unless we stand together and give our government a collective swift kick in the ass I know I'm going to be attending one of these protests in my area. I don't know if you've gotten wind of this, so I thought I'd bring it to your attention in case you haven't and might want to attend one in your area

IMO, the time is past due to stand up and say enough is enough, already!!!! It's up to us, people, they're not going to stop until we make them. If we don't, it will be the generations to come that will pay the price

Here's a listing of places in my state where organized protests will occure. There's also links to locations for every state in the country. I can't urge you enough to take part in this collective swift kick in the ass

I'm not sure how to take in the whole thing. I understand people's frustration over the current spending and feeling that that their tax dollars are being "wasted". I don't fully share this feeling as I'm trying to wait everything out before I get a definite opinion on what Obama is doing. I'm supportive of what his goals are, but I'm a bit skeptical about his means of getting there. I'm just riding on the belief that he knows what he's doing and has thought this whole thing out instead of shooting in the dark. I wish he would address this concern, because I'm sure many people are in the same boat as me, if they haven't gone Anti-Obama's-Recovery Plan already.

Tea-bagging Obama... who the hell didn't make the connection to "t-bagging"?? I'm sure the play-on-words was the reason the Tea Party people picked that specific "action" towards Obama.

Not sure what to make of this. I believe we need real reform in government, but as a conservative person, I was disappointed that the Bush Administration spent so freely and didn't reign in some of the lending schemes. They are Republicans, so it's not like they wanted to try to push regulation, but this had been a long time coming and it wasn't addressed. Now, we have the Dems in control and I think the wild spending will only continue to increase.

If these "Tea Party" rally's have leaders involved that honestly want to move towards, less government waste and a sensible, every man approach to politics, I'm all for this movement! Freddy
