|  £106billion pension deficit That's approximately £800 (about $1600) per person in the UK. The US has a $500billion pension deficit, or around $1500 per person. A more accurate statistic would be limited to those retirees with pension plans, so if you take retirees as a whole, people are on average $16,500 dollars worse off than they were a year or so ago.
