Default Part of me wants Bush to win.

Yep. I said it. Part of me actually wants Bush to win. Not because I like the guy, but because I want him to stay in office so he can actually live up to his "promises" that I know he'll never keep. I want him to clean up his own mess, instead of someone else coming in and doing it for him. I want to hold him accountable to everything he said during the RNC, and so when another 4 years passes, I can say without a doubt in my mind that Bush really wasn't that great of a President, at least not what some make him out to be. I mean, let's face it, he's never had to clean up any mess he's made. Why should he get off so easily this time? This thought has been passing through my mind for the past 2 months now, but I finally decided to post it here.

So who's with me? Who thinks we should put old Georgie Boy in office for another 4 years, just to see what else this man can do, or not do? I know I'm all for it...

I completely agree.

You're forgetting Bill Clinton. As long as Bill is alive every jacked up thing the GOP does is somehow his fault.

True, some people do resort to putting the blame on Clinton, but if you do that, then you might as well put the blame on the people before him as well. I realize that you do have to clean up some messes from before, but with some like the WoT it should definately be handled by the person who started it.

See, here's my thinking, if Kerry is elected President, and he doesn't clean the mess up, then the blame shifts directly to Kerry. Why should Kerry suffer that burdern? I know damn well in 4 years I don't want to hear arguments about how (if Kerry wins) Kerry didn't do a good job, because you know that will happen. So let's let Bush clean up his mess. If he does clean it up, and he does keep his promises, then that's an entirely different story and I would commend him for that. But I'm not holding my breath

You have to admit though, it's a very interesting theory. The more I think about this, the more I want Bush to stay in office. Funny, eh?

I understand your reasoning and am normally a big fan of personal responsibility, but this time I have to say...

I would take that part and roll it into a ball and jump up and down on it...HARD...Until it dies.

Well to each their own I suppose... Whatever works for you.. The 1st 4 years of Bush have been surreal, I cannot even begin to fathom what the next 4 would be..

Damn, well you guys are letting him off too easy then I guess At least you heard it here first, so 4 years later if Kerry wins I'll have my reasons for why things are still messed up, and if 4 years later Bush is still there, then I'll still have my reasons

This "part of you" that you speak of, the part that wants Bush to win? Do me a favor, and keep that part outside the voting booth in early November...
