Democracy Quiz

I scored 80%. I thought that all convicted felons were not allowed to vote. I was wrong. I also thought I knew about the number and race of voters whose votes weren't even counted in FLA last election, but I was wrong.

This is a very informative and elightening website I think everyone shold check out.

Some of those questions just trivia. How many people can be fairly judged for not knowing Brazilian election law?

I don't feel like researching it right now, but did anybody else have his/her BS detector scream bloody murder while taking that quiz?

Yeah, not really much of a quiz. Guess people are more willing to read about how 'bad' the US voting system is by taking a quiz they get high scores on.

Every question was meant to either expose a flaw in the US voting system or highlight a benefit in a foreign one.

Kind of odd that the quiz begins with this disclaimer: "Take a quick quiz to see how much you know about the process of electing a president in the United States. The quiz consists of 14 questions and some of the answers might suprise you." Seems like it was the Brazilian questions that surprised poeple the most...

Is it such a bad thing to highlight to people who may not know the ins and outs of the US voting system that it could be improved? If people don't know these things they can't question them and they can't push for change if change would make the system better?

I got 64%.

I just couldn't believe the number of uncounted votes and the percentage of people on the 2000 FLA felons list that were innocent citizens.

I guess I'll have to settle with explaining Americans how their income tax works
