Default Bin Laden speaks out on US Elections

From:

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/...ape/index.html

Quote:
(CNN) -- Osama bin Laden delivered a new videotaped message in which he told Americans their security does not depend on the president they elect, but on U.S. policy.

He also claimed responsibility for the attacks of September 11, 2001, which killed nearly 3,000 people.

"Your security is not in the hands of Kerry or Bush or al Qaeda," bin Laden said in the video aired on the Arabic language network Al-Jazeera.
It's nice to see Bin Laden is still around to comment on our elections, even though 1100+ of our soldiers in Iraq are not (nor are 3000+ of our citizens from 9/11).

Didn't some clown promise us that this mass murderer would be caught?

If I could find the many times I've said this in the last couple of years, I would post it, but I'll say it again: you won't stop terrorism by running a war campaign, you stop terrorism by changing the policies that originally "got you there in the first place" But alas, the government avoids the real issue and tries to go around it. Kind of like the drug war, they go around the real issue of legalization and instead try and deter the use.

Preaching to the choir, HL. But that's the American Way, isn't it? Treating the symptoms and not the problem?

What does concern me is that this makes two terror tapes this week, and the first UBL tape in over a year. If they plan on trying something this might be a signal. They must think we are Spanish.

UBL is a nut dragging bacon eating abomination that best deserves to die a slow and very painful death.

I'm confused. What do you mean his problem is with his leaders? Who are his leaders? And if he doesn't have a problem with our leaders, then why all this terrorism bullfeces?

This could break as an advantage for either Bush or Kerry... If it ups the fear factor then historically its advantage Bush.. If people look at Bin Laden and view it as a failure that here he is in Oct 2004, Alive, Well and still spewing his bile.. It's advantage Kerry..

Well, it's great to see that Osama appears so healthy, so alive.
Perhaps since Bush has decided "not think about him much" and focus on Iraq, it's given Osama the opportunity to get comfy in his new digs. Jolly good. not.

Yep, stay the course.

I thought it was interesting that Osama implied that GWB must've known that 9-11 was going to happen since he "left 50,000 people in those towers that day." Also interesting to me was that Bin Laden clearly pointed out, it's not our leaders, it's our policies, specifically mentioning US policy on Israel.

I was definitely disturbed by the last video of the American dude and now this one. I'm kinda rethinking my aversion to weaponry.

peace

Default I hate to say it...

but it's nice to see Osama back in the news.

It's a nice change of pace compared to the terrible news of a mislead war into Iraq, or the bogus election from hell... Which I am sure will conclude in the court houses resulting in the effect that the American public's votes just don't mater any more.

Before I end this rant, I would like to make one more point: It's about time Osama pointed out what compelled him to comit murder on U.S. soil. I had a feeling it had something to do with the U.S's buddy-buddy relationship with Israel, and now my suspicions are proven.

When will the U.S. learn to stop picking sides in foreign affairs, it just leads to more trouble like this.

Oh and I hope that we find Osama alive, lets see how he likes meeting Bubba in a federal prison (the death penalty is just an easy way out for a man like Osama).
