I want to say this, before the polls close, before any votes are tallied..........

For the past couple of weeks, and all day today, I've heard about one dirty trick or another played by people on BOTH sides of this election. Neither camp can claim innocence.

Whether it was vehicles vandalized at a DNC office in FL or tires slashed at a RNC office in Wisconsin.......fraudulent voter registrations......phony phone calls misleading voters about where to vote or when to vote......signs vandalized.......people being messed with at polling places.

From sea to shining sea, this has been probably the nastiest campaign I can remember. Most of it seems to be supporters and activists in certain 527's, but that doesn't excuse it.

To those on the Right who involved themselves in this sort of activity: I am ashamed OF you.

To those on the Left who involved themselves in this sort of activity: I am ashamed FOR you.

Often on this forum, I hear people ponder how Jefferson or one of the other founding fathers would view the drug laws or some other issue.........well I wonder what Jefferson would think of his experiement in freedom on Nov. 2, 2004?

I'm willing to bet we won't have a winner tonight , way to much voter fraud has happened, the lawsuits and recounts are going to flow. The only way I can see a winner coming out of this tonight is if someone takes it by a huge margin, which doesn't look likely, though I could be wrong.

This thread is one of the chief reasons I visit these forums almost daily (unless I'm traveling). All of us understand that we differ in politics from some of the others who have posted here, and all of us respect and appreciate each other, expressing our differences civilly
