| Ok, so the problem with this election was not that Bush won, the problem that neither of the 'major party' candidates were really worth a snuff. There's about two years difference between a Republican and a Democrat. Neither is anywhere near progressive, and for the record, I'm an Anti-Federalist (think Thomas Jefferson minus the whole slave thing). Yes as a matter of fact you can agree with a politician thats been dead for that long and not be considered an uber-conservative evangelical fool. But that's off topic, the topic here is that our country is stagnant. Stagnant mainstream ideas, stagnant politicians, and stagnant people (in the majority, not everyone), with an information infrastructure thats determined to continue this stagnation. "So where do we fit in? we're surely not in this stagnant majority that you refer to," you ask. To you I say, apathy is the cause of this stagnation. Are we as a generation apathetic? Yes. Do we aim to change this? Yes, but only really recently, this election seems to be a catalyst for us, and we must not let this fire die. We must capture this flame that we have now, and feed it further, more fuel to our cause. "What is our cause though?" Our cause is FREEDOM, the only cause that is worth dying for (outside of love, and some of us certainly can apply that to the current situation) and we must not let this cause die. Surely we all hear from our brainwashed fellows that they too are free, but are they? No, these are the very people who voted for the man that takes away our freedom in the name of "Security," and, "The Homeland" (Sounds suspiciously like, "Mother Russia," to me (Not to bash present day Russia, only a reference to the days of Stalin)). Well, ok comrades, lets capture that same fire that Lenin put into his people during his revolution, and let's change things! Our country was founded on the principle of the people being able decide free of duress and intimidation. This election is a prime example of both of these: the Iraq war, the "homosexuals," the "pot smokers," and the "War on Terror" (interesting when you think of all the acts of, "terror," we perpetrated on the British during our own Revolution). Bush and his cohorts used fear of these things to extort the votes of honest, hardworking, moral people all over the country. This whole election was a sham, the one we should have voted for was never even on the ballot, hell (s)he never even ran, because (s)he recognized the foolishness of moving within accepted bounds of gaining power in the United States. Our people fear change, as all people do, and they only way to exact change is to stage a blitzkrieg of ideology. So it would seem that our path is clear, we need to get out there and broadcast our message of freedom all over. Not just freedom for homosexuals; not just freedom for marijuana users, no, freedom for ALL. We need to create a movement of our own, and follow in the steps of Martin Luther King Jr., Che Guevara, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and create our own change because its obvious that our establishment isn't going to create it for us.
