Ex-****ing-actly! What some don't seem to understand is that we're not wrapping ourselves in the flag and saying that the US is supreme, and we are above reproach. We want a better ****ing world, too - it's just that we don't think we're going to get there until some of the bull**** stops. And unless we call not only ourselves, but everyone else responsible, we'll never actually get there.

Now, let's all join hands and do the Humpty Dance.

Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf says he will stay on as chief of the army, despite earlier promises to give up the post by the end of the year.

.......

The US ambassador in Islamabad has said it is up to Pakistanis to decide whether the president should hold both posts.

The Commonwealth, too, has said it is not opposed to the move.

Our correspondent says such international endorsements - confirmed during recent visits to the US and Britain by Gen Musharraf - gave him the strength to take the decision.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/4106961.stm

Shortly after his return from the US Musharraf has declared that he will not return Pakistan to civilian rule as he promised. I wonder if this issue was discussed at all during his visit?

He claims a 96% support rate in the polls ... hmm a Dictator claiming near 100% approval ratings

(vocal 4%)

I seriously hope we're not helping Musharraf stay in power against the will of Pakistanis ( ... and come back 30 years later and ask "why oh why do Pakistanis hate us" ... like we did with Iran).
