lemme clear up some misconceptions that liberals & commies love to sput

first off, regarding Iraq, there is NO REASON that anyone in the US should feel sympathy for this country. If it wasnt for our sanctions towards this nation, then we would have been attacked far worse than what happened already in 9/11. There hasnt been ONE inspector in Saddams factories since 1998. NO ONE inspector to see what chemical or biological weapons he's been developing. His man is evil, he has used these same weapons against his own people, if he had the funds he would have already used them against us.

These so called evil sanctions the United States places on Iraq are meant to keep money out of the Government to develop WEAPONS. NOT ONE US SANCTION ON IRAQ KEEPS FOOD OR MEDICINE FROM ENTERING THE COUNTRY. What we have found though, is that milk and other products that supposed to get to the Iraqi people is actually being confiscated and being resold on the open market for profit. In zones in which the US controls food distribuation, there mortality rate is TWICE of that compared to zones in which Iraq controls the zones. Who is really at fault of the suffering of the Iraqi people?

Onto Afghanistan. You crybabies can whimper and whine about our policies all you want, but until you come up with a BETTER solution, please keep your mouths shut. Its one thing to complain about our course of action, its another to come up with a better choice. That being said, I have seen report after report of Afghans who are GLAD we are bombing them. One Afghan village was completely bombed to rubble, all these refugees lost their homes. What did they say when they were asked what they thought of the US? They said they would rather their homes be destroyed and their brothers die then to live under the absolute rule of the Taliban. Think I'm making this up? I've lived in the third world, I know what the conditions are like under governments which have no structure. It is the Afghan and Pakistan TINY MINORITY which make the news with their protests and their anti american rhetoric, not the Majority.

Same with our bombings in Kosovo and our actions in Bosnia. These people were are WAR for 14 YEARS. Over hundreds of thousands of Serbians were killed by Albanians in the 80s, and thousands of Albanians were killed by Serbs in the 90s. These innocent victims that died in Eastern Europe did not die in vain, since our invention there has been PEACE in that region. The Bosians, the Albanians, they are GLAD we intervened so that we could bring peace into the region.



I see so much more Criticism of this countries actions in my own country then I do in much of the world. Believe it or not, the world DOES look to us for help. The minority of protestors burning American Flags are those which often make TV.

Our war with Iraq was NOT ENTIRELY ABOUT OIL. Please read that sentence again, and understand economics and get this through your very thick skulls. In a CAPITALISTIC market, the oil Iraq seized would have been sold to us for the same price as the Kuwaiti oil, perhaps maybe at an even lower price. Why then, do people complain that war was to save our oil supply? Would it make sense if Saddam took this oil and didnt sell it? Why? Would our prices have gone up? Why? Saddam would have had to compete with the rest of the middle east, along with Asia & South America. Had we lost this war, we wouldnt have lost ONE DROP of oil comming into this country. This war showed that NO DICTATOR can choose to invade another country without the world's wrath. I do recall someone by the name of Hilter taking over Austria and Czechoslovakia without the West doing anything about it. Since our policy of intervention, has ANY Dictator gained the power Hilter has?

Does anyone realize 25% of our oil comes from the Middle East? Do you know what the numbers are in Europe & Asia? 80%! It is the US which takes the wrath of the world, we sit back and watch 15,000 British protestors demostrate against our war, while it is the USA which protects the interests of these countries.

Its time we all woke up to the real facts and researched some history instead of getting all of our info from some half assed anti usa website (ahem ratm.com). Notice I did not bring up the facts that our CIA shouldnt have backed our from helping the afghans or Iraqi rebels in the early ninties, but that was not the point of my post. No country is ever perfect, but I truely believe we do far more than we are every given credit for.
