Embellishment is the enemy of history, thanks for clearing the facts up for me.
The whole picture for me is still emerging, as i'm sure it is for people all over.

Mama, I was refering to the Al-Jazeera, which is based I think in Qatar, they are a very controversial media source over there, to Americans because they broadcast Laden's "Cave-Talk", and to Arab leaders for broadcasting Bush's speeches.
Does anyone see Palestine and Israel coming to an agreement? It seems their goals are to rid the world of the other.
Any historical models to point a way out, or are we in uncharted waters?

I believe the only historical model is that in the past if the lines of communication are kept open, and they are, that Peace has a chance. That we are in uncharted waters is a fact, but with faith in the possibility of Peace who knows what we may find in the undiscovered places of humanity?

Israel and Palestine have both agreed, as they have never agreed in the past, on at least one thing -- the unnacceptability of the Taliban Regime and the terrorist attacks made by that regime. The PLO have stated through their spokesman in the person of Arafat that they are not supportive of bin Laden nor beholden to him for supposed support in the past nor would they follow under his command in Jihad.

This may appear minor in light of the continued hostile relations between the Plestinians and Israel, but in fact after a year, the Intifada uprising has quited, the neighborhoods have created DMZ to cut off rock throwing and block suicide bombers from entering areas where Arab & Jewish citizens congregate, and a tense peace is beginning to hold. Leaders are communicating and possible compromises are rising to the front. People are saying enough is enough.

It will always be an uneasiness for the minority Jewish State in an Islamic Region of Islamic states, but I believe there is also a binding understanding between ancient histories of two peoples that inhabit the land. I will continue to remain hopeful and prayerful that one day a grudging respect may cement Peace, and may it be in our lifetime.
