Need to get used to it folks. We're in Iraq till its over with, whenever that is.
Might even be a good staging area for a land offensive against Iran.

If we pull out too quickly, it'll just turn into a hell-hole the second some terrorist group doesn't feel opressed by the almighty US anymore. I know the cool thing to do is say "get our troops out now!", but if we did, another dictator will just pop up in Saddam's place and F everything up all over again. Until thier democracy is firmly in place, it'll cause more harm than good to leave.

And there is a good possibility that there is WMD's in Iran. Here is the difference....other than Israel, they aren't threatening anyone with them. And Israel is more than capable of defending themselves with their own WMDs.

Dey's a good chance there's some in China and Russia and Israel and Britian
and the U.S. and few other places, too. You don't see anyone going to the U.N. whining about that do you?

The USA is the big dog and the UN is nothing without US support. The UN would do nothing against the US...it couldn't do anything against anyone in the security council as they would have to vote to attack themselves. The Russians made that mistake over Korea.
