| Well 10-Nov is Federal election day in Australia. The race is one between the current current Liberal government lead by Prime Minister John Howard and Kim Beazley and the Labour opposition. Drugs haven't really played a part in the election campaign and there is definately none of the "well I did take a puff but i didn't inhale". I know Howard is very anti drug and is already doing his best to to stop harm minimization etc. Problem is that the opposition isn't much better cause going into an election saying "we will leagilise MJ" or anything else would pretty much be political suicide. Instead on of the biggest issues seems to be what to do with illegal boat people entering the country. Anyway if anyone is interested in other parts of the world I will throw in a quick post later with the result. |
