Nursing Business Booming, Scams Coming off the walls

Nurses today are finally starting to realize that it is not necessary to be an employee of someone else. There are so many opportunities out there and the doors are starting to open, more and more nurses are marketing themselves and cutting out the middleman. As an independent Nurse Contractor they will enjoy the freedom to choose what type of facility to work in, when they'll work, how long will they work and how much they will make.

this is kinda off the subject of what was stated above, but i work at a nursing home and they offer C.N.A (certified nurses assistant) classes and they didn't do a drug test when i first got the job as a unit attendant but they did do a criminal background check and now in the summer i'm going to be taking the classes and my question is, does anyone know if they do drug test at all to become a C.N.A? all i know is that we do have to take a written exam through the state and i feel that if i ask my work they will become suspicious of the questions that i ask so if anyone has any info i would be glad to hear it.

Depends on the individual employer. Some do, some don't. All you need to do is ask for a copy of the employer/employee policy.
