I have no problem with anyone joining the military for noble reasons of defending our country or democracy but to get sent to an illegal military action for the sake of George Bush's ego is flat out stupid. I don't want to see any of our youth sent into that meat grinder. When you come home with one arm or leg where's Bush? Besides what the fuck are you fighting for?

We're fighting for political power in the middle east. To get them to hear our name, and shudder or the thought of us. Thats my best guess. probably cause of the Israel dilemma for more than 50 years. Biggest issue for us over there in the long run. Oil comes in handy to nourish our thriving empire too.

I respect every single individual that is serving, or has served, our country in the battlegrounds. Don't care where or when it was/is.

This deal in Iraq has been argued so much it's almost pointless to continue with the debate. Not really a matter of WHY we are over there fighting. Just that we ARE.

My personal opinion is that we have no reason to have military anywhere but right here in the U.S: Protecting our borders and our citizens against anyone that might want to breach said borders, including Mexico. Watch the news, we have so much terrorism in this country it makes my head spin.

Mom, God and apple pie baby....... the same things we've been fighting for for the last two hundred or so years in this country with the mean little boys and girls we produce.

Did we make mistakes in Iraq? Hell, in my opinion, the whole thing was a mistake, but I'm not in charge or who knows what it would look like around here......I don't take much shit......

The pretense for the invasion was that he had WMD's and could sell them to terrorists for use against us. Pretty simple to me.

Now we say we haven't found any so we were all lied to. So what are we fighting for?

The reason for me now would be, let's go ahead and finish something now that we've started it. Are we going to just quit these people now, when they need us the most, or stick with it thru the long haul, and give them something besides no government?

I know it's hard to bleed everyday so far away for a car accident or roadside bomb,and I also know it's hard to send more of our kids to some catbox where even the cats have left, to die for an obscure reason, but it will be better to have a solid friend than a religious hodgepodge of tribes that still think it's the 12th century......
