Now, I'm not sure what relevance this article has to us as marijuana users, but since it mentions that John Ashcroft has disqualified himself from the investigation I figured it deserved discussion.

Then remember that several boxes of papers concerning Whitewater, that the Clintons had, just happened to dissapear.
Then, all of a sudden ,they are found in a closet, in the Whitehouse ,that had been searched three or four times,then one of the Clintons just happened to stumble across them in the closet.
There ain't a damn one of them honest enough to call them selves a man,or the best way to describe a politician;if he's talking,you know he's lying.

Yeah, exactly. That's why what I really meant was that it isn't just a republican tradition, as mama implied. It's a Republi-Crat tradition ;-)

It certainly does look as if there's a CYA situation going on here, but as usual we, the people, won't get the whole story until it's history. It's just my opinion, but I suspect Mr. Ashcroft got substantially more in the way of "campaign donations" than he reported and that's why he disqualified himself from the investigation.

Clintons scandals (like Whitewater and drug smuggling in Mena Arkansas) are childs play to what the Bush family has done in the past.
